NagoyaInternationalCenterLibrary has a nice collection of books.  You can search their collection online.  The library has a good selection of travel books if you plan going anywhere for holiday or research.<br />Nanzan University Library<br /><span style="font-weight:bold;color:green;background-color:#cfc;">Online resources<br />Hereisagood article listing good places to do your research online. It has a small section of English books. <div class="diffnone">* *Back up your text* Unfortunately, it is a rule of nature that *every* computer will eventually fail. Losing the contents of your computer will always be a painful experience, and it **will** happen to you, because it happens to all of us.  To protect yourself and minimize the pain, you  should make regular copies of the things that you write (once each day is a good practice).  Decide on a file naming pattern (like "mythesis_20061013.doc") that includes the date that you make the copy.  Put the copies on a memory stick, or another computer, or in an account somewhere on the Web.  That way, when something happens to your computer, you will suffer a minimum of stress.  Some backup options include:</div><br />

One way to reduce the risk of loss is by not doing any serious writing in the first place, but a more common approach is to back up your important information (writing, sources, drafts, even photos).  Backing up files does take a bit of extra time and effort, but balanced against the risk of being treated to a cheerfully complacent "I told you so" in the midst of a crisis, it is well worth the trouble.
