Students are often hired as TAs (teaching assistants) by professors. This can be a good way to get university experience, help out your professor, and network. Look for listings on campus or ask your professor.

After you finish your program if you would like to stay in Japan and work, you will need a visa. Normally an employer will sponsor you. Without a visa you cannot legally work or even remain in Japan. Be careful.
