- I have a large selection of fiction books in English to lend from my office (room 330). Legal fiction, sci-fi, some non-fiction. Free to borrow just remember to return them.

Movies
Movie theaters
There are usually special discounts at the theaters for students or foreign students. This is not listed you have to ask for it (and show and ID sometimes). The co-op on campus also has discount tickets for sale but they have expiration dates.
- There are several theaters around the Nagoya station area.
- Toho theaters are relatively new and allow for online seat reservations. The disadvantage is that they are not located very close to a subway station.
Online movies
Not all entertainment is expensive. There are a lot of very good online (legal) movies.
- The Scene is a free, online movie about movie pirates.
- Cinequest offers downloads of some very good independent films.
Museums
Don't forget to ask for student discounts.
Music

- Redferret lists links to lots of free music.
- Garageband has lots of free music and lets you vote on the songs.
- Lifehacker has a great article about all sorts of ways to find free music.
Online radio
- Shoutcast has many online radio stations.
TV in Japan
- NHK, the public broadcasting network, has many shows in both Japanese and English. You can find a listing of bilingual programming here.

Theater
- The Nagoya Players is a theater troop that does English language plays. You can watch their plays or become a part of their production team.
